Research Engineer - IRL CNRS Crossing

Human Performance Prediction Project

  • Conducted comprehensive checks and debugging on the existing Python source code along with establishing and maintaining a GitHub repository to track project versions, facilitating team collaboration and code management.
  • Implemented code refactoring strategies to enhance efficiency and cleanliness using TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-Learn library, resulting in a reduced processing time of 10 minutes in total.
  • Enhanced data preprocessing techniques by employing linear interpolation for data up-sampling, leading to a 10% increase in test accuracy across all models in conducted experiments.
Robot Cognition Project

  • Trained and implemented the YOLOv8 detection model on the Pepper robot using Robot Operating System (ROS) for person, shoe, and drink detection with approximately 4 seconds of inference time.
  • Built a service node to detect objects and generate an 3D object point cloud with an inference time of around 5 seconds using the YOLOv8 segmentation model on input RGB and associated depth images.
  • Worked with Docker in conducting rigorous testing on the robotic system to ensure precise functionality and correct performance.
